MUST READ!!

We will be monitoring ALL dogs for the following behaviors in order to ensure the safety of our campers. The following  play styles do not work well in the the social setting here at the ranch:

  • Bullying-this includes posturing over other dogs, “boxing” other dogs, or body slamming other dogs (typical of Bully breeds and Boxers especially).
  • Herding/policing-nipping at other dogs when play gets amped up, barking in other dogs personal space in a controlling manner, chasing other dogs (typical of any shepherd breed and some terrier breeds).
  • Excessive barking-this increases the stress level of everyone in the group.
  • Fence aggression-barking at the dogs on the opposite side of the fenced in yards.  This increases the stress level of dogs on both sides of the fence.
  • Resource guarding-inability to have toys/food present without becoming aggressive towards other dogs.  Becoming territorial of special belongings, including pinecones or sticks in the yards.  Although we don’t feed dogs together (unless in the same family and okayed by their parents), some dogs will be reactive just walking by the kitchen and then act aggressively towards dogs in the vicinity.

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • All outdoor play and areas in which your dog will have access to are determined by your dog’s needs and temperament.
  • Outdoor play consists of running with other dogs, playing fetch, water time (warmer months) and chilling in the great outdoors.
  • Ballypines continues to celebrate much growth and development since opening in 2013. We remain a small business,  which allows your dog to receive the love and attention he deserves, as well as the custom-tailored dog care that will help him feel more comfortable in a new place. We now have 16 cabins available for your pooch to visit and enjoy!  All rooms are climate controlled, offer a couch/raised bed, fresh water, and whatever else you think will provide those daily comforts and scents of home.
  • Although some rooms do have runs available, we determine which room would keep your dog the happiest and most comfortable.  Rooms are then assigned accordingly.  Run doors are shut during extreme weather conditions as well as at night.

Bedding and personal belongings

We request that you bring your own bedding and blankets from home. (PLEASE bring clean bedding!! We cannot accept dirty bedding or blankets!) If your bedding requires cleaning during your dog’s stay, there will also be a 2$ charge applied to the final bill. PLEASE LABEL EVERYTHING!!

Ballypines does have bedding available, however there will be a charge of $2/day.

Take home a CLEAN DOG!

Although we guarantee that your dog will not go home dirty, we do offer a shampoo, brush and blow-out for your dog. (We do not do ears, nails, or anal glands.)

SHAMPOO …$15.00-40.00/dog, extra charges can apply for thicker coats and supersized breeds.
